🛠️ Creating Installation Media

To create a bootable USB drive or DVD for installing Windows:

  1. Download the Media Creation Tool for your desired Windows version.

  2. Run the Tool:

    • Accept license terms.

    • Choose “Create installation media for another PC.”

  3. Select Language, Edition, and Architecture (64-bit or 32-bit).

  4. Choose Media:

    • USB Flash Drive: Requires at least 8 GB of space.

    • ISO File: Save to your PC, then burn to a DVD.

Note: When burning a DVD from an ISO file, if you’re informed that the disc image file is too large, you’ll need to use dual-layer (DL) DVD media.

🔑 Product Key Requirements

  • Windows 11 & 10: If you’ve previously activated Windows on your device, reinstallation should automatically activate using your digital license.

  • Windows 8.1 & 7: A valid product key is required during installation.
